I’m delighted to announce the launch of a new magazine with the entirely accurate tagline of “So Criminal, It’s Good.” Mystery, Crime, and Mayhem features stories by me, Jason A. Adams, and a bunch of spectacular writers! I’m having so much fun writing these stories and reading everyone else’s that it probably should be illegal.
Issue Number 1: Private Eyes, introduces my Appalachian tale “The Definition of Crime,” with a private detective coming home to investigate a tough missing person case.
For Issue 2: Thieves, we venture to Atlanta for a bit of cybercrime with “The Fabulous Feats of Billy.” Fans of my series character Dana Sanderson will feel right at home, and new folks will get to meet one of my favorite fictional co-conspirators.
Issue 3: The Chase Begins, my story “A Race Against Tea Time” returns to Appalachia, in a setting familiar to readers of my novellas Songs in the Mountains, Secrets in the Land, and Walking the Ghosts (with more on the way). A story of the consequences of living where we can still be entirely off the network awaits – in this case with feline assistance that will be all too familiar to anyone with tooth marks on all their electronics charging cables.
Jason contributes stories to Thieves and The Chase Begins, and we both return for Issue 4: Sins of the Father, due out in November.
I hope you’ll venture over to www.MCM-Magazine.com, where you can learn more about our fabulous writer Syndicate and be the first to know about upcoming issues.
Happy reading!
