My bio says I write first and figure out the story’s genre later, and that’s absolutely true.
Since I was a kid going from Jack London’s The Call of the Wild to Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World to Judy Blume’s Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret. to Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders of Pern series, I’ve always loved to read a whole bunch of different things. Throw quite a bit of non-fiction in there as well, though I haven’t written a whole lot of that just yet.
That being said, I totally understand wanting a certain genre!
So while it would be nearly impossible to get into subgenres (mainly because they change all the time), I’ve set up links so you can explore what I’ve written in major fiction genres. A few books will show up in more than one. Because not only do I write across genres, but I often end up writing across and in between.
Browse around Contemporary Fiction (no speculative elements), Fantasy, Mystery/Crime, Romance, Science Fiction, and my own special genre of Appalachian Stories. Those can be in pretty much any genre, but they’ll always be set in and around my native Appalachian Mountains of Virginia.
Thank you for stopping by, and Happy Reading!
