This year started out fast and busy around here, and I have all kinds of fun things to share!
The first goes back to last year, when I entered my very short story “The Spider Who Ate the Elephant” into the Golden Nib Contest for The Virginia Writers Club. My home group The Appalachian Authors Guild surprised me by picking it as their winning entry. Then I was even more pleasantly surprised when it took second place in fiction statewide!
My story is also included in my new collection Fantastic Shorts: Volume 2, available in ebook, paperback, and Large Print!

If you’re in the mood for more great short fiction, The Infinite Bard is still going strong! You can always check in on their website for a new story every other Wednesday. I’ve also been updating my own Infinite Bard page right here on this site, where you can read “Sensing the Storm,” my turn on the Bard stage. It’s a prequel for my series Storms of Future Past, and I hope you enjoy the tale.
Happy February, and Happy Reading!
