WMG Publishing has put together a wonderful Holiday Spectacular: a collection of 35 holiday-themed short stories, including two by me and one by Jason A. Adams. Both of mine are Appalachian stories, too. I’ve read almost all of the stories, and I’m excited to get to read them again in this fun story-a-day format!
Local-ish folks, Jason A. Adams and I will be out and about for the holidays! We’re launching The Occasional Bookstore right here in St. Paul, Virginia, based at the Mountain Heritage Museum and Gallery.
These dates are a perfect chance to shop local with us and other great small businesses around town!

Jason and I will both be out and about this Saturday, October 12, for Indie Author Day!
I’ll be at the Russell County Public Library in Lebanon from 10 to 3. Jason will be at the Arts Depot in Abingdon for a kid-themed day from 10-2.
Speaking of November, Jason and I are part of a wonderful holiday-themed project that will feature 35 short stories by some of our favorite writers and good friends! And these range from sweet holiday romances to moving winter holiday tales all the way to bloody holiday mysteries, so no matter your own feelings about this time of year, we’ve got you covered.
I’m tickled to be heading back to Cooks and Books right here in St. Paul on Saturday July 27th! Join me, Jason A. Adams, and a bunch of other great local artists and business folks from 6 to 8 pm for a great cause, great books, and great food.
This year I’m even more excited about the event because I’m putting together a special limited edition book that will be for sale that night only and benefit Cooks and Books!
Jason and I will be joining in the fun at the fifth Johnson City ZineFest, just down the road in Johnson City, Tennessee!
Mark your calendars for Saturday August 24, 2019, from 6 pm to 10 pm, and meet us at The Willow Tree Coffee House & Music Room right downtown.
