Local-ish folks, Jason A. Adams and I will be out and about for the holidays! We’re launching The Occasional Bookstore right here in St. Paul, Virginia, based at the fascinating Mountain Heritage Museum and Gallery. We have several stories set in and around Appalachia, and we’ll have gift cards and ebook cards that make fantastic stocking stuffers along with signed print books.
More great local authors will be joining in, so check back for updates as we get more information. This is also a perfect time to support other local small businesses around St Paul!
The schedule for The Occasional Bookstore for the next few weeks is below. If these first few dates go well, we hope to make this available for readers and other local authors in the future. Pick up gifts for the readers in your life, visit the wonderful museum, and be sure to say howdy!
Special thanks to the museum, and the Town of St. Paul and St. Paul Main Street for including us!

Come see the Santa Train, a long-standing and beloved Appalachian tradition, and get an early start on your holiday shopping with St. Paul’s Town Bazaar!
Author Elizabeth Champagne will be joining us!

Celebrate Small Business Saturday! Start with a Kickoff Breakfast at 4th Avenue Baked Goods, where anyone making a purchase will get a $5 coupon good at any participating business, including Spiral Publishing. Then check out all the wonderful businesses around town.
Saturday December 7 from 10 AM to 5 PM:
Enjoy St. Paul’s Open House all day and stay for the Christmas Parade at 5 PM!
Authors Willie Dalton and Franklin Horton will be joining us!
Happy Oncoming Holidays from everyone at Spiral Publishing!
